Fortunately, the educational resources you need for home ownership are available at Central Detroit Christian CDC. We provide FREE home buyer education classes. STEP FORWARD PROGRAM

Can’t pay your bills this month?

Step Forward Program provides remediation for homeowners who experience a hardship that impacts their ability to pay their mortgage, property taxes or homeowners association (HOA) fees.

The Detroit Land Bank Authority- Buy Back Program

Did you lose your home to tax foreclosure? Buy it Back!

The Detroit Land Bank-Buy Back Program is a pilot program selling the homes lost to property tax foreclosure.
To qualify: You could be former owners, renters, someone who has paid utilities in the home for at least a year or anyone who can prove they’ve made “substantial improvements.”
To buy: Contact the Detroit Land Bank Authority (DLBA). You must be invited by the DLBA to participate in our home buyer counseling course or home preservation course, attend quarterly workshops and maintain the exterior of the property. If you comply, you will be given the deed after a year.

Zero % Home Repair Loans

Central Detroit Christian Community Development Corporation is an intake center that offers clients assistance with completing the application process. The program is provided by The City of Detroit.

0% interest home repair loans between $5,000-$25,000 are available for Detroit homeowners who meet eligibility requirements. 0% interest means you pay back only what you borrow-not a penny more. This program empowers homeowners to invest in their home with a 10-year, 0% interest repair loan.
