Central Detroit Christian exists to empower people and create positive opportunities in the central Detroit Community. We do this through Education, Employment & Economic Development.

ABC’s in the “D”

ABC’S IN THE “D” TUTORING gives students the opportunity to receive one-on-one educational assistance to improve basic reading and math skills for K – 5th grade. The program runs October thru March.

Breakthrough Enrichment Program

Breakthrough Enrichment equips and empowers youth through the arts and education. Each week, children receive a hot meal, get help with their homework, and hear a Bible lesson that applies to their life. The program meets weekly during the school year for K – middle school.

After School Programs

After School Programs are available at Henry Ford Academy Elementary (HFAES) and Loving Elementary Schools for K – 5th grade. These programs engage students in activities ranging from yoga to drumline.

HFAES: Tuesday & Thursday, 3:30pm – 5:30pm
Loving Elementary: Wednesday & Friday, 3:30pm – 5:30pm

Karate

Karate gives children an opportunity to learn self-defense, exercise, socialize, and develop character and discipline through martial arts. Mr. Alan Brace, a 4th degree black belt and a Master Instructor of the World Tang Soo Association, along with his high level students, instructs and guides each child in the discipline of Karate. For ages 8 and up

CDC Summer Day Camp

CDC Summer Day Camp is a six week program that keeps children 6 thru 13 active physically, mentally, and spiritually in age appropriate small groups. Children participate in bible based curriculum , interactive field trips, gardening, and arts and crafts. Every child receives a nutritious breakfast, snack, and lunch.
NOTE: Field trips may have a nominal cost of $5 per child.
