Christmas Store
The Pride for Parents Christmas community store is an extension of CDC’s ministry in the Central Detroit area to restore Christ’s hope and encourage long-term development in the community. The goal of the Christmas store is to provide resources that encourage economic sustainability by starting a new tradition built on dignity and empowerment, not dependency. CDC gathers donations of toys, school uniforms and supplies, household items and food.
We then sell these gifts to families in our community for 70—90% off the retail price. That’s a $20 gift for $2-$6! The proceeds go back into the development of the store to further meet the needs of the community. The store seeks to utilize the Christmas holiday to serve the Central Detroit area with affordable Christmas gifts and necessities.
