On the evening of October 28, 2015 Central Detroit Christian won the CDC of the year award. The award was presented by Detroit Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), the Community Development Advocates of Detroit (CDAD), and Michigan Community Resources (MCR). All of the staff, less a few, and many of the board members of Central Detroit Christian filled the stage to accept the award. The award was an affirmation of all the hard work and long hours invested. Nonetheless, all the glory belongs to God who has sustained and continues to sustain us.
The event was hosted by LISC, CDAD and MCR with support from Masco Corporation Foundation. Honorees were selected by an independent volunteer committee. The annual event brings together corporations, foundations, lenders, small businesses, developers and nonprofits for a night of celebration and fun.
